I have been a runner since high school and I have always been a pretty fit with my weight in check. Two years post my college graduation – and into my career – I found myself running and working out less. It wasn’t long before I was out of shape and quickly gaining weight. Adding to this, I had one bad habit as a runner: I never focused on strength training/building mass, and never focused on upper body strength.
I began working out in earnest on my own, but found it difficult to make progress. I found that in order to make the best use of my time and effort I needed help. I started training with Mike in November of 2011, and it has been one of the best decisions I have made.
Mike is the right guy you want to partner with when working towards a goal – he brings a high level of professionalism, knowledge of technique, passion and expertise that you would want in a personal trainer. Mike is attentive and detailed oriented: from your first session he takes note of where you are and lays out a plan for where you’d like to be. Each workout is unique, intense, effective and to my surprise, fun.
Mike knows how to motivate you and still keep things light hearted. Impressive still – especially for a data driven person like me – Mike keeps you honest and constantly gauges progress, adjusting his approach to reach your goal.
